La carte
Gununo Map Poster & Print
Gununo lies in the highlands of southern Ethiopia, in the South Ethiopia Regional State. On a map, it is a small, compact town where local roads meet, surrounded by densely cultivated countryside. The streets at the centre form a loose network, and the edges of the town fade into small farms and scattered homesteads across the hilly landscape.
The highlands of this part of Ethiopia are among the most densely farmed rural areas in the country. Small plots, enset gardens and paths cover the slopes. Towns like Gununo serve as local centres for markets, schools and services in the surrounding villages. Their shape is formed by roads and farmland rather than large planned districts.
A Gununo map poster shows a small highland town within its landscape. The centre of the town is small and focused. Roads leave toward neighbouring settlements, and the countryside around it adds fine texture from paths and plots. It is a quiet way to keep the memory of a home far away from the city.
