The river line
The Harmanliyska River cuts a gentle path through the town and gives the map a natural spine. Streets on both banks orient themselves around its course.

La carte
Harmanli Map Poster & Print
Harmanli sits in the lowlands of southern Bulgaria, in Haskovo Province, where the Harmanliyska River runs toward the Maritsa. On a map, the town forms a compact cluster on the riverbanks. A loose web of residential streets thins out quickly into fields, vineyards and the long straight lines of regional roads.
The town grew on the historic route linking Central Europe with Constantinople, and that corridor is still visible from above in the roads and rail lines that cross the valley. Its best-known monument is a humped stone bridge from the Ottoman period. The bridge crosses the river close to the centre and has long served as a symbol of the town.
A Harmanli map poster turns this quiet geography into clean black lines. The narrow river channel, the curving streets around it and the grid of newer blocks set against empty farmland give the print a calm, balanced composition. It works equally well as a personal keepsake or as a study of a small Balkan town.

Pourquoi Harmanli
Une carte qui a du sens
For people who grew up in Harmanli or have family there, the map holds the familiar walk to the river, the bridge and the streets in between. It is a modest place, and a clean line drawing suits it better than a photograph could.
You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or a year, and the coordinates line. Then choose one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to suit the room where it will hang.
