Highway junction town
Several main roads meet at Harūr, and the densest streets gather where they converge. That gives the map a clear, readable centre.

Harūr Map Poster & Print
Harūr is in the Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu, in the dry upland country between the Eastern Ghats and the plains further south. The town grew along its main roads. On the map its dense centre of narrow streets and small blocks spreads outward along the highways, while newer residential areas fill the spaces between them in a looser pattern.
The landscape around Harūr is broken by granite hills and ridges that rise out of the farmland. Around the town, irrigation tanks, the shallow reservoirs typical of the region, appear as small, rounded bodies of water. They add soft shapes to a map otherwise made of roads and fields, and they show how water is gathered and held in this dry country.
A Harūr map poster suits people who know the town from daily life: its market streets, bus stand and temple lanes. The frame can take in both the centre and some of the surrounding hills and tanks, which gives the composition depth. The Sand style in particular suits the warm, dry character of the landscape.

Irrigation tanks
Shallow reservoirs around the town stand out as smooth, rounded shapes among the fields, typical of how water is stored across this part of Tamil Nadu.
Hills on the edge
Rocky hills and ridges rise out of the plain around the town, visible on the map as open, road-free areas at the margins.
