Huai Khwang Map Poster & Print
Huai Khwang is a district in central Bangkok, north-east of the old core of the city. On a map it is densely packed. Large blocks are divided by main roads, and between them lies a fine network of sois, the narrow side lanes that branch off the main streets and often end in dead ends.
The main axis is Ratchadaphisek Road, which runs north–south through the district with the MRT Blue Line underneath it. Along it are office towers, hotels, the Thailand Cultural Centre and night markets that draw both locals and visitors. Khlong Saen Saep, one of the city's historic canals, runs along the district's southern edge.
A Huai Khwang map poster shows the typical Bangkok pattern clearly. Long arterial roads frame superblocks, and the blocks are filled with branching sois like the veins of a leaf. The canal adds a single line of water to the dense street network. The result is intricate, urban and immediately recognisable to anyone who has lived in the city.

The soi network
Between the main roads, narrow sois branch off and often end in dead ends. They create a dense, tree-like pattern that fills the interior of each block.
Khlong Saen Saep
The historic canal runs along the southern edge of the district. It adds a thin line of water to an otherwise densely built map.

Pourquoi Huai Khwang
Une carte qui a du sens
Huai Khwang is home to many Bangkok residents and to people who have worked in the offices along Ratchada. A map of it holds everyday routes, favourite night markets and the address of a first apartment in the city.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with an address or the year you moved in. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir suits the district's dense, night-time character.
