Biobío river mouth
Chile's great southern river widens and meets the Pacific along the edge of the commune. It forms a broad, calm shape that anchors the bottom of the map.

Hualpén Map Poster & Print
Hualpén is part of Greater Concepción, and on a map it covers the corner where the Biobío River meets the Pacific. The residential streets in the east join up with Talcahuano and Concepción without a visible break. Towards the west, the grid ends and the land rises into the hills of the Hualpén peninsula.
The peninsula is protected as a nature sanctuary. It includes the Pedro del Río Zañartu park and a rugged coastline of coves, among them the fishing cove of Caleta Lenga. Along the south side of the commune, the wide Biobío reaches the sea, while an oil refinery and industrial land occupy the flat ground inland.
Hualpén only became its own commune in 2004, when it separated from Talcahuano. That explains how closely its streets are woven into those of its neighbours. A Hualpén map poster works well because of the contrast, with dense housing on one side and the wide river mouth and a wild headland on the other.

Hualpén peninsula
A hilly, wooded headland juts into the ocean with coves and cliffs. Only a few roads cross it, so it reads as an open space full of contour and coastline.
Joined urban grid
The eastern neighbourhoods run straight into Talcahuano and Concepción. They show how the commune is part of one continuous metropolitan fabric.

Pourquoi Hualpén
Une carte qui a du sens
A Hualpén map suits anyone with ties to the Concepción area, for example through family, university years or weekends on the peninsula coast. Its mix of streets, river and headland makes a balanced composition that looks good in a living room or a study.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a date that matters to you. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files cost $9 with no watermark, and framed or unframed prints are shipped from local partners.
