The coastline
A long, gently curving shoreline runs the full width of the map. It is the main line of the design, and the sea fills one side of the poster.

La carte
Icapuí Map Poster & Print
Icapuí sits at the eastern end of Ceará's coast, next to the border with Rio Grande do Norte. It is less a single town than a chain of settlements along the shore. On a map the coastline is the defining line, a long curve with small communities and beach roads running beside it.
The coast here is known for its reddish cliffs, broad sandy beaches and a strong fishing tradition, especially for lobster. Inland, the map becomes quiet and open, with dunes, scrubland and a few straight roads. Along the shore, small streets cluster where the villages sit close to the water.
An Icapuí map poster leads with the coast: the sharp line of the sea, the pale strip of beach, and small clusters of streets spaced along the shore. It is an airy, horizontal composition, well suited to anyone who knows this part of Ceará for its beaches and fishing villages.

Shoreline villages
Small fishing communities are spread along the coast, each a small cluster of streets close to the water. The spacing between them sets the rhythm of the print.
Dunes and open land
Inland from the beaches there is little development. Wide empty areas and a few long roads let the coast stand out.
