Lagoa de Araruama
The large lagoon takes up much of the frame. Its smooth, wide surface contrasts with the fine street pattern along the shore and gives the poster a strong sense of space.

Iguaba Grande Map Poster & Print
Iguaba Grande sits on the northern shore of the Lagoa de Araruama, in the Região dos Lagos east of Rio de Janeiro. The lagoon is one of the largest hypersaline lagoons in the world, and it fills much of the map with a broad expanse of water. The town's streets follow its edge in a band between shore and higher ground.
The town is small and mostly residential, with holiday homes, a waterfront and calm beaches facing the lagoon rather than the open sea. It became an independent municipality in the 1990s, separating from São Pedro da Aldeia. Its layout reflects gradual growth, with regular blocks near the water and looser streets inland.
Highway RJ-106 runs through the town and links it with Araruama and São Pedro da Aldeia, and the Atlantic beaches of Cabo Frio are a short drive east. An Iguaba Grande map poster pairs the calm curve of the lagoon shore with the modest grid of a coastal town.

Lagoon shoreline
The town's edge follows a gently curving shore with small points and inlets, drawing a soft, irregular line where streets meet the water.
RJ-106 corridor
The regional highway runs through town parallel to the lagoon. It is a steady line that links the neighborhoods and connects them to the rest of the Região dos Lagos.

Pourquoi Iguaba Grande
Une carte qui a du sens
Iguaba Grande is where many families from Rio spend weekends and summers, and some eventually settle for good. A map with the name of the beach house, a family name or the year you arrived captures that connection.
Blueprint and Noir make the lagoon a bold shape, while Paper and Sand give a sunny, relaxed feel. Classic black & white is also available. Choose a framed matte print or the $9 download in six sizes at 300 DPI.
