La carte
Inagi Map Poster & Print
Inagi sits on the south bank of the Tama River in western Tokyo. On a map it divides neatly in two. The northern part is low and flat, with streets following the river and old farmland lines. The southern part climbs into the Tama Hills, where housing estates, cut slopes and green ridges curve along the terrain.
Railway lines run through the city and set its structure. Stations cluster small commercial centres, while the hills hold planned districts that were built as part of the wider Tama New Town development. Inagi is also known in the Tokyo area for its pears, grown in orchards that still survive between the residential streets.
An Inagi map poster picks up this layered pattern: the broad bend of the Tama River, the rail corridors crossing it, and the finer, curving street network of the hills. It is a quiet suburban plan that looks surprisingly detailed in print, with river, slope and grid all within a small frame.

Tama Hills
The southern half rises into rolling hills, where planned housing and parkland follow the contours in long curved streets instead of a straight grid.
Orchard pockets
Small fields and pear orchards remain between residential blocks, breaking up the built-up areas with open parcels of land.
