La carte
Irati Map Poster & Print
Irati is in the south-central part of Paraná, on the rolling highlands of southern Brazil. The city grew along the railway and the main road across the region, and the map shows it following the lie of the land: a central grid in the valley, with streets that bend and branch as they climb the surrounding hills.
Around the city, the landscape is a mix of farmland, pasture and patches of forest, with small streams in the valleys between rounded hills. Rural roads spread out to the smaller farming communities, many of them founded by European immigrants.
The region around Irati was settled in part by Ukrainian and Polish immigrants, whose churches and traditions are still part of local life. The city is also a regional centre for education and services. An Irati map poster shows a city fitted into the hills, with a clear centre and softly rolling countryside around it.

Hill streets
As the city climbs the hills, its streets curve to follow the slopes. The result is a softer, more organic pattern at the edges.
Rural roads
Roads leave the city in several directions toward farming communities. They cross the hills in long, gently winding lines.
