Old town on the slope
The historic centre forms a compact, rounded cluster of streets on rising ground, noticeably denser than the districts that spread out below it.

Iserlohn Map Poster & Print
Iserlohn lies on the northern edge of the Sauerland, where the Ruhr valley meets wooded hills. On the map, the old town sits on rising ground, with a compact ring of streets around its churches, while newer districts spread into valleys and along ridges. Large areas of forest surround the town and break up the built-up area.
Iserlohn was historically an industrial town, known for metalworking, wire and needle making, and later for its hill-country setting. The Seilersee, a small lake on the edge of town, and the Danzturm, a lookout tower on the wooded heights, are local landmarks, and the Dechenhöhle cave lies nearby. The town is also known for its ice hockey club, the Iserlohn Roosters.
An Iserlohn map poster shows how much the terrain shapes the town. Streets wind to follow the contours, green areas cut deep into the city, and the old centre stands out as a dense knot among the hills. In black and white, the pattern feels quiet and considered.

Seilersee
The small lake on the edge of the town appears as a clean shape surrounded by trees and paths, a quiet counterpoint to the surrounding streets.
Wooded ridges
Forested hills separate the districts from one another, leaving large open areas on the map and giving the town its broken, organic outline.
