Ishii Map Poster & Print
Ishii is a town in Tokushima Prefecture on the island of Shikoku, a short distance west of the city of Tokushima. It lies on the broad alluvial plain of the Yoshino River, one of the largest rivers on the island. From above, the landscape is almost entirely flat, and the town's residential streets sit among farmland crossed by narrow roads and irrigation channels.
The built-up area is not a single dense block but a series of clusters strung along roads and the railway that runs across the plain. Between them runs a close network of farm roads and small channels, which gives the map a fine, even texture. To the south the ground rises into the wooded hills that edge the valley.
An Ishii map poster is a study in pattern rather than landmarks. The regular division of land, the few straight transport lines and the edge of the hills create a calm composition that works well in minimalist interiors. It suits anyone with ties to Tokushima who wants to keep the shape of home without resorting to a photograph.

Farm roads and channels
Narrow farm roads and irrigation channels cross the open land between homes, forming a fine, even grid that prints with a quiet, textile-like density.
Southern hills
Along the southern edge the plain meets forested slopes, where the regular lines end and the map softens into open, rising terrain.

Pourquoi Ishii
Une carte qui a du sens
For people raised on Shikoku or living far from Tokushima, a map of Ishii is a reminder of a very particular kind of landscape: level, cultivated and orderly. It brings that calm into a room without any need for colour.
Set the title in your own words, add a subtitle and coordinates, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free 900 px watermarked preview shows the result before you buy the $9 HD files or a printed poster.
