The valley corridor
A main road runs through the municipality between its larger neighbours, forming a strong diagonal spine that the rest of the street network hangs from.

Ixtaczoquitlán Map Poster & Print
Ixtaczoquitlán lies in the mountainous centre of Veracruz, in the corridor that links the cities of Orizaba and Córdoba. From above it reads as a series of neighbourhoods spread along valley floors and lower slopes, tied together by the main highway and local roads that follow the terrain rather than a strict grid.
Hills and ravines break the urban area into separate pieces, so the map has a patchwork quality: clusters of streets divided by green space and steep ground. An Ixtaczoquitlán map poster shows how the town has grown along routes of movement, stretching out rather than gathering around a single dense centre.
The area sits in the humid, fertile uplands of Veracruz, a region long associated with sugarcane, coffee and industry along the Orizaba–Córdoba axis. The Pico de Orizaba, Mexico's highest mountain, rises to the west, although it lies beyond the frame of a town-scale map.

Scattered neighbourhoods
Settlements are separated by hills and ravines, producing several distinct clusters of streets rather than one continuous town, which gives the print a varied rhythm.
Green slopes
Steep, planted ground surrounds the built areas, leaving irregular open shapes on the map that follow contour lines instead of property lines.
