Camp street mesh
The refugee camp appears as an almost solid field of fine lines. This web of alleys between closely set buildings is among the densest street patterns on any map.

La carte
Jabālyā Map Poster & Print
Jabālyā lies in the north of the Gaza Strip, a few kilometres from the Mediterranean shore and just north of Gaza City. It includes both an older town and a refugee camp established in 1948, and together they form one of the most densely populated urban areas anywhere. From above, the street pattern is extremely fine-grained, with alleys often too narrow for vehicles.
The camp has a central place in modern Palestinian history, as the First Intifada began there in December 1987. During the war that began in October 2023, Jabālyā suffered very heavy destruction, and many of the buildings and streets shown on maps have been damaged or lost. Much of the population was displaced.
A Jabālyā map poster records the layout as the underlying map data shows it. It shows the tight weave of camp alleys, the somewhat wider roads of the older town, and the main routes running north toward Beit Lahia and south toward Gaza City. For many people it is a record of a place, a neighbourhood and a family's memory.

Older town layout
Around the camp, the older town has a slightly more open pattern, with wider roads and larger plots that make the contrast with the camp visible from above.
Near the coast
The sea lies only a short way to the west. A wider map frame brings the Mediterranean shoreline into view alongside the neighbouring communities of the northern Strip.

Pourquoi Jabālyā
Une carte qui a du sens
People order this map to keep a record of a home, a family house or a childhood street, often from far away. The title and subtitle can carry a family name, a neighbourhood or a date, and the coordinates line ties the poster to one exact place.
Classic black and white and Paper give the dense street pattern a restrained, archival feel, while Noir, Blueprint and Sand set other moods. A free 900 px preview lets you check the framing first. The $9 HD files include six sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
