Jāfarābād Map Poster & Print
Jāfarābād sits on the southern coast of the Saurashtra peninsula in Gujarat's Amreli district, and the sea defines its map. The town gathers around a creek mouth and harbour, with a dense old core of narrow lanes near the water and newer streets spreading inland across flat coastal land. The shoreline and tidal channels give the edge of the map an irregular, detailed outline.
The town has a long maritime history. For centuries it was held by the Siddi rulers of Janjira, far down the coast, as a detached part of their state, and fishing has remained central to its economy. The name is also known across India through the Jafarabadi buffalo, a heavy breed associated with this region of Saurashtra.
A Jāfarābād map poster works best when the frame includes both the tight old town and the water around it. In black and white, the fine grain of the harbour lanes contrasts with the open sea, and the creek winding inland adds a line of movement through the composition.

Dense old quarter
Close to the waterfront, streets narrow and pack tightly together, a pattern typical of old Gujarati port towns that grew around trade and fishing.
Arabian Sea edge
The coastline runs along the southern side of the town, leaving a wide open area that frames the settlement and gives the poster balance.
