La carte
Jahangira Map Poster & Print
Jahangira lies on the south bank of the Kabul River in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a short distance upstream from the river's meeting with the Indus near Attock. On the map the river is the dominant feature. It is wide and braided, with sandbars and channels that shift over time, and the town sits on the higher bank above it.
The historic Grand Trunk Road, one of South Asia's oldest trade routes, passes close by, and the modern highway follows much the same line toward Peshawar and Islamabad. The town grew up where this route and the river meet. It has a compact centre, and newer building stretches along the main road.
Around Jahangira, farmland covers the plain between the river and the higher ground to the south. A Jahangira map poster holds these elements in balance: a busy road corridor, the tight grid of houses and markets, and the broad band of the Kabul River curving toward the Indus.

Grand Trunk corridor
The main route between Peshawar and Islamabad passes the town, drawing a strong line across the plain that the settlement grew along.
Riverside plain
Fields fill the flat ground around the town and give way to higher land to the south, framing the built-up area on three sides.
