Ponds and tanks
Many small water bodies are scattered through and around the town. In black and white they read as solid blocks among the thin street lines.

Jānjgīr Map Poster & Print
Jānjgīr lies in the rice-growing plains of central Chhattisgarh and is the headquarters of Janjgir-Champa district, with the town of Champa a short distance away. On a map the town looks loose and low. A main road corridor runs through it with houses clustered alongside, and the small rectangles of tanks and ponds typical of the region are scattered all around.
The town is best known for an old Vishnu temple, often called the Nakta Mandir, which was never finished and still stands without a complete spire. It is one of several historic temple sites in this part of Chhattisgarh and gives Jānjgīr a place on regional heritage routes.
A Jānjgīr map poster keeps the drawing simple, which suits the place. The strong lines are the highways and the rail corridor, and the finer ones are the lanes between neighbourhoods. The water bodies appear as small solid shapes that give the sheet a rhythm. The result is a calm, clear portrait of an everyday town.

Road corridors
Main roads run out toward Champa and the surrounding villages. They give the map a clear framework that the smaller lanes branch off from.
Open farmland edge
Beyond the built-up area the street pattern fades quickly into paddy country, leaving generous white space at the margins of the poster.
