Jaru Map Poster & Print
Jaru lies in central Rondônia, in Brazil's western Amazon region, beside the BR-364 highway that crosses the state. Like many towns founded during the settlement of Rondônia in the twentieth century, it has a regular layout. On the map, its streets form straight blocks set against the highway, which runs past as the longest, strongest line in the frame.
Around the town, the landscape opens into farmland and pasture, criss-crossed by rural roads that divide the land into long parcels. A river of the same name runs through the municipality, and smaller streams wind between the fields. Seen from above, the neat urban grid contrasts sharply with the looser, organic lines of the water and the surrounding countryside.
A Jaru map poster shows this frontier pattern clearly: an orderly town, a highway leading off toward other settlements and a wide rural setting that still traces the region's recent history. It is a straightforward, balanced design, with the grid at the centre and the countryside giving it room.

Planned grid
The centre is laid out in straight, even blocks, typical of towns founded during Rondônia's settlement. This regular pattern makes the town read clearly from above.
Rural surroundings
Farm roads and property lines spread out from the town into the countryside. Streams and a river cross them in freer, curving lines.
