Jelutong Map Poster & Print
Jelutong is on the eastern side of Penang Island, just south of the historic core of George Town. The land is mostly flat and densely built. On the map, a close grid of older streets and housing estates fills the ground between the island's inland hills and the channel that separates Penang from the mainland. The coastline itself has been straightened by land reclamation over the years.
A coastal expressway runs along the shore here, linking George Town with the southern part of the island and the approaches to the Penang Bridge. It forms a sharp, straight line across the map, with the older, more irregular neighbourhood streets to its west and newer reclaimed land toward the water. The contrast shows how the island has grown.
A Jelutong map poster frames a busy urban district between the hills and the sea. There are many small streets, a few main roads cutting through, and a firm coastal edge. It works as a close-up of Penang for anyone who knows the island beyond its famous old centre.

Reclaimed shoreline
The coast here has been extended and straightened. Its smooth, engineered edge looks very different from the older, irregular street pattern further inland.
Dense neighbourhood grid
Behind the shore, small streets, lanes and housing blocks are packed closely together. Together they form a fine, busy texture that fills most of the frame.

Pourquoi Jelutong
Une carte qui a du sens
For people who grew up in Jelutong or lived nearby in George Town, this map shows home in more detail than an island-wide view could. It also suits anyone who knows Penang well and wants something less obvious than the heritage centre.
You can add your own title, subtitle and coordinates to the poster, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the waterfront, and Paper softens the dense grid.
