Old town lanes
The historic centre is a close web of short, irregular streets. On the map it forms a dark, dense patch that stands apart from the looser layout around it.

Kāgal Map Poster & Print
Kāgal is a town in Kolhapur district, in the south of Maharashtra, close to the border with Karnataka. The main highway linking Pune and Bengaluru passes right beside it, and from above the town appears as a dense older core with newer neighbourhoods and industrial plots spreading toward the road.
The town is closely tied to the history of Kolhapur. Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, the social reformer and ruler of Kolhapur, was born in Kāgal into the Ghatge family before being adopted into the Kolhapur royal house. That connection still gives the town a place in the region's memory.
A Kāgal map poster shows the tight network of lanes in the old centre, the broad line of the highway and the fields and watercourses of the surrounding farmland. In black and white, the contrast between the crowded core and the open land around it becomes the main story of the design.

National highway
The Pune–Bengaluru highway runs along the town, a long straight line that anchors the composition and links Kāgal to Kolhapur and beyond.
Farmland pattern
Around the town, field boundaries, rural roads and small streams create a fine, open texture that frames the built-up area.
