Pacific coastline
The long, curving edge of the ocean dominates the composition, with the white or dark water area giving the poster a strong, simple horizon.

Kamogawa Map Poster & Print
Kamogawa faces the Pacific Ocean on the southeastern side of the Bōsō Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture. On a map the town is defined by the coast. Built-up areas run along a narrow band between the sea and the hills, and the main road and railway follow the same line. Inland, the street network thins quickly as valleys and forested slopes take over.
The city is known for Kamogawa Sea World, a large marine park on the shore, and for the Ōyama Senmaida rice terraces in the hills, often described as among the few terraced paddies close to Tokyo. The contrast between the open sea on one side and small, stepped fields on the other gives the area its particular character.
From above, the coastline is the strongest line on the page, curving gently and broken by small river mouths and harbour edges. A Kamogawa map poster reads as a meeting point of ocean and mountain, with a thin ribbon of town held in between.

Coastal corridor
Road and rail run parallel to the shore, and most streets cluster along this corridor, so the town appears as a slim band rather than a round centre.
Hill country inland
Behind the coast, the map turns quiet: winding valley roads and scattered settlements mark the hills where the Ōyama Senmaida rice terraces lie.

Pourquoi Kamogawa
Une carte qui a du sens
Kamogawa is a place of summer visits, sea views and weekend escapes from Tokyo. A map of its shoreline brings that sense of open water and fresh air into a room, especially a bedroom or hallway.
Add a title, a subtitle marking a trip or a year, and a coordinates line. Choose one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to match the tone you want.
