Kanigiri Map Poster & Print
Kanigiri is a town in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, set in the drier upland country that lies inland from the coast. From above, the town has a compact centre of lanes and market streets, with newer neighbourhoods extending along the main roads. The surrounding land is agricultural, and the map quickly opens into farmland dotted with small villages.
Rocky hills rise near the town, a feature typical of this part of Andhra Pradesh, and one of them is associated with the remains of an old hill fort. Water is precious here, and tanks and reservoirs, large and small, appear as distinct shapes across the landscape, often with fields arranged below their embankments.
A Kanigiri map poster shows a town and its setting with clarity: a dense central grid, roads reaching out to villages, and the irregular outlines of hills and water tanks. It is a personal piece for families from Prakasam district, especially those now living in larger cities or abroad who want a reminder of home.

Hills near town
Rocky high ground rises close to the settlement, interrupting the road network and giving the poster a rugged, irregular area of contrast.
Tanks and reservoirs
Irrigation tanks lie across the surrounding countryside, their water surfaces appearing as bold shapes against the fine lines of roads and tracks.

Pourquoi Kanigiri
Une carte qui a du sens
