Khorramshahr Map Poster & Print
Khorramshahr is defined by water. On the map the Karun river flows in from the north and meets the Shatt al-Arab, known in Iran as the Arvand Rud, at the city's edge. The two rivers divide the urban area into distinct sections, with bridges carrying roads across the Karun. The border with Iraq follows the Shatt al-Arab, so the city sits right at the frontier.
Around the built-up area, date palm groves line the riverbanks and appear as a textured band on the map. The port facilities stretch along the waterfront, where river traffic historically connected Khuzestan with the Persian Gulf. Abadan lies close by to the south, and the two cities read almost as neighbours sharing the same network of channels and river islands.
A Khorramshahr map poster records a city whose shape comes from its rivers. Khorramshahr was heavily damaged during the Iran–Iraq War and its recapture in 1982 remains a significant moment in Iranian memory. The rebuilt streets now follow the same river-bound geography that has always given the city its purpose.

Karun bridges

Riverside palm groves
Date palm plantations line the banks around the city, drawn as a softer band that frames the denser urban streets.
