Small town centre
The core of Kishapu is a modest cluster of streets and buildings that serves the wider district, forming the densest point in an otherwise open composition.

Kishapu Map Poster & Print
Kishapu is the headquarters of Kishapu District, in the Shinyanga region of northern Tanzania, south of Lake Victoria. The surrounding country is broad and gently rolling and largely given over to farming and grazing, with cotton among the region's important crops. On a map, the town is a small core of streets set within a very wide, open landscape.
The district is also home to the Williamson diamond mine at Mwadui, a long-established mine that lies some distance from the town itself. Around Kishapu the pattern is spare: a few main roads, lanes branching between homesteads, and villages spread across the plain, each with its own small cluster of buildings.
A Kishapu map poster turns this open landscape into a quiet composition of lines and spaces, with the town at the centre and roads reaching outward across the plain. It is a considered gift for people from the district, for those who have worked in the area and for anyone who knows the countryside of Shinyanga.

Open plains
Wide expanses of farmland and grazing land surround the town, leaving generous empty space on the map and giving it a calm, spacious feel.
Roads across the district
Main roads and rural tracks run across the plain from Kishapu toward villages and neighbouring towns, drawing long, thin lines that structure the whole frame.
