Southern lakes
Several lakes sit in the southern part of the city. Residential streets and private docks trace their shorelines, and together they form a chain of dark shapes across the lower half of the map.

Lacey Map Poster & Print
Lacey lies just east of Olympia, the Washington state capital, and the two cities merge along Interstate 5 and the old Pacific Highway. From above, the town is a patchwork of postwar and newer subdivisions, commercial strips and wooded parcels. The interstate draws a firm line straight through the middle.
Water frames the city on two sides. To the north, fingers of southern Puget Sound reach inland as long, narrow inlets, while the south is dotted with lakes ringed by homes and docks. Saint Martin's University, a Benedictine school founded in the late nineteenth century, has a wooded campus. It shows up as an open green shape in the street pattern.
A Lacey map poster shows a Pacific Northwest suburb in its real form. There is no single downtown, only a network of curving residential streets, broad arterials and patches of forest, with the lakes and saltwater inlets giving it edges. In black and white, the fine texture of the neighbourhoods contrasts with the solid shapes of the water.

Interstate 5 corridor

Saint Martin's campus
The university's wooded grounds form a large open area within the city, with a looping campus road and buildings scattered among the trees.

Pourquoi Lacey
Une carte qui a du sens
Some people know Lacey from service at the nearby military base, others from studying at Saint Martin's or raising a family among the lakes. For many it belongs to a particular chapter of life. A poster with a personalised title and a date turns that chapter into something to keep on the wall.
Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. You can check the free 900 px watermarked preview before buying. The $9 digital files come without a watermark in six print sizes, and printed posters on matte paper can be ordered with an optional wooden frame.
