Lanxi Map Poster & Print
Lanxi grew at a meeting of rivers in western Zhejiang, and water defines its map. The Qu and Jinhua rivers join near the city to form the Lan River, which continues north toward the Fuchun and Qiantang. The old town lines the riverbanks, with a tight pattern of streets pressed between the water and the rising ground behind.
For centuries this position made Lanxi an important river port, where goods moved between the interior and the coast. Newer districts have spread outward across the flatter land, with broader roads and regular blocks, while bridges connect the different banks. Hills appear at the edges of the map, framing the river valley.
Near the city lies Zhuge village, whose residents trace their descent from the strategist Zhuge Liang and whose layout is said to follow the pattern of the eight trigrams. A Lanxi map poster centres on the confluence, showing how rivers shaped the city and how the old quarter still clings to the water's edge.

Riverside old town
Along the banks, the historic quarter forms a narrow, dense strip of streets between the river and the higher ground, marking Lanxi's origins as a port.
Zhuge village
Outside the city, the village of Zhuge Liang's descendants is known for its layout based on the eight trigrams, a rare planned pattern in a rural setting.

Pourquoi Lanxi
Une carte qui a du sens
Lanxi suits people who know the river from daily life, whether walking the old streets or crossing the bridges on the way to work. It is also a meaningful map for families with ties to the Zhuge village nearby.
The title and subtitle can be personalised with a name, a year or a short phrase, along with the coordinates line. Five styles are available; Blueprint highlights the rivers, while Paper gives the old town a softer look.
