Strait of Hormuz
Larak sits within the strait that links the Persian Gulf to the open ocean. On the map, the water around it is a major maritime corridor, however empty it looks on paper.

Larak Island Map Poster & Print
Larak Island lies in the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow passage between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, close to the larger islands of Qeshm and Hormuz. Its outline is compact and roughly rounded, with a rocky, dry interior and a coastline that alternates between small beaches and low, broken headlands.
Settlement is modest and concentrated near the shore, where a village and landing area give the map its only dense cluster of lines. Most of the island is empty terrain crossed by a few tracks. The surrounding water matters as much as the land: the strait is one of the busiest shipping channels in the world.
A Larak Island map poster turns that simplicity into a clear graphic. The island reads as one strong shape set among the straits and islands of the Hormozgan coast, with a small cluster of streets on one edge and wide open water on every side.

Coastal village
The island's settlement lies near the shore, and its few streets form the only dense detail in the drawing, a small knot of lines against the plain interior.
Rugged interior
Much of Larak is dry, rocky ground crossed by a handful of tracks. On the poster it becomes a quiet field that lets the coastline carry the composition.

Pourquoi Larak Island
Une carte qui a du sens
Larak appeals to people with family ties to the Hormozgan coast and to those drawn to the geography of the Gulf, where small islands sit on one of the world's most important routes. It makes a spare, confident map for a modern room.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand echoes the arid island, and Blueprint gives it a nautical-chart feel.
