Löbau Map Poster & Print
Löbau lies in Upper Lusatia, in eastern Saxony, between Dresden and the Polish border. From above, the town has a clear centre: an old core around a market square, with streets leaving it in several directions, and later neighbourhoods spreading out across the gently rolling land.
East of the town rises the Löbauer Berg, a wooded hill that appears on the map as an area of forest and winding paths. On its summit stands a cast-iron observation tower from the nineteenth century, one of the best-known landmarks in the region. The town also hosted the Saxon state garden show in 2012, which left new green spaces in the townscape.
A Löbau map poster shows how the town and the hill fit together. The dense streets of the centre contrast with the curving paths of the woodland, and the railway and main roads cross the frame on their way through Upper Lusatia toward Görlitz and Bautzen.
