La carte
Magalang Map Poster & Print
Magalang lies in the province of Pampanga on the flat plain of Central Luzon, close to the lower slopes of Mount Arayat, the lone volcano that rises above the surrounding farmland. From above, the town centre is a small cluster of streets around the church and plaza, with roads spreading outward toward the barangays and neighbouring towns.
Most of the municipality is agricultural. Rice fields and farm plots cover the plain, and the roads between them form long, straight lines with small settlements along them. Toward the east, the ground begins to rise toward Arayat, and the map becomes more open. The main campus of Pampanga State Agricultural University also lies within the municipality.
Magalang is a quiet town compared with the busy cities of Pampanga, and it is mostly known to people from the province. A Magalang map poster shows it plainly: an old town centre, farmland in every direction, and the mountain nearby that defines the horizon of this part of Central Luzon.

Farm roads
Straight roads cross the flat plain between rice fields, linking barangays in a loose grid that covers much of the municipality.
Toward Mount Arayat
To the east the land rises toward the volcano's lower slopes, and the street pattern thins out as farmland gives way to higher ground.
