La carte
Mattanur Map Poster & Print
Mattanur lies inland in Kannur district, in the rolling midland country of northern Kerala. The terrain here is uneven, with low hills and valleys, and the town's roads follow the land rather than a grid, curving between slopes and green plots.
Mattanur is best known as the site of Kannur International Airport, which opened in 2018 on a plateau near the town. The airport has made Mattanur a gateway for travellers to and from northern Kerala, including many families with members working in the Gulf.
A Mattanur map poster combines the organic curves of a Kerala town with the straight, bold line of an airport runway. The contrast is striking: fine, winding streets on one side, and a single long, precise stroke on the plateau above. It is a map with a clear, modern landmark and an older landscape around it.
