Old town peninsula
The historic centre sits on a small headland, its tight lanes forming a dense, closely packed pattern that stands in contrast to the wider streets of later expansion.

Molfetta Map Poster & Print
Molfetta lies on the Adriatic coast of Apulia, north of Bari, and its map is anchored by the sea. The old town occupies a small peninsula pushing out into the water, its narrow lanes packed tightly together. Beside it, the harbour curves around with breakwaters and quays, still home to one of the region's working fishing fleets.
On the shoreline stands the old Cathedral of San Corrado, a Romanesque church whose position right on the water makes it a landmark from both land and sea. Inland from the historic core, the town opens into straighter streets and more regular blocks, extending toward the countryside of olive groves that surrounds much of this stretch of coast.
A Molfetta map poster shows that contrast clearly: the dense, almost woven texture of the medieval quarter, the firm curves of the harbour walls and the broader grid of the newer town behind them. It is a coastal portrait in which the sea is as much a part of the composition as the streets.

Fishing harbour
Breakwaters and quays curve around the harbour next to the old town. Molfetta's fishing fleet is among the notable ones on the southern Adriatic, and the port shapes the whole waterfront.
Waterfront cathedral
The Romanesque Cathedral of San Corrado stands directly on the shore. On the map, it marks the point where the old town, the harbour and the open sea come together.

Pourquoi Molfetta
Une carte qui a du sens
For people from Molfetta living elsewhere in Italy or abroad, the outline of the old town and harbour carries strong associations with home. As a minimalist print it suits kitchens, living rooms and seaside homes alike.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so you can add a family name or a meaningful date. Pick one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand and Paper suit the warm Apulian light.
