Motatán Map Poster & Print
Motatán sits in the state of Trujillo in western Venezuela, where the Andes begin to fall away toward the lowlands around Lake Maracaibo. The town shares its name with the Motatán River, one of the main rivers of the region. On a map the settlement stretches along the valley floor, its streets pressed between the water and the rising ground.
The city of Valera lies only a few kilometres to the south, and the road between them gives the area a strong north–south axis. Beyond the built-up blocks the map breaks up into farm plots, streams and the folded contours of the foothills. The town appears as a compact core inside a much larger landscape.
A Motatán map poster suits anyone with roots in the Trujillo Andes, or anyone drawn to towns shaped by a single river. The composition is simple and direct: a valley, a watercourse and the streets that grew up beside them. The clean lines keep the surrounding terrain easy to read.
