Chaugan ground
The large open ground in the town centre stands out as a clear, empty shape among the dense streets. It serves as the town's main public gathering place.

Nāhan Map Poster & Print
Nāhan sits on a ridge in the Shivalik hills of southern Himachal Pradesh and is the headquarters of Sirmaur district. On a map, its streets follow the contours of the hilltop, looping and zigzagging around a compact centre, while roads descend in long curves toward the plains of Haryana and the valleys below. Forest covers much of the surrounding slopes.
The town was founded in the seventeenth century as the capital of the princely state of Sirmaur, and it keeps a planned, orderly feel unusual among hill towns. At its centre lies the Chaugan, a large open ground, with former palaces, temples and a small lake, Rani Tal, nearby. Nāhan is also known for its long-established foundry.
A Nāhan map poster captures an unusual combination of hill-town contours and royal planning. The winding roads draw rhythmic, organic lines across the sheet, and the open spaces of the Chaugan and Rani Tal punctuate the dense centre. In black and white, the result is both intricate and calm.

Ridge-top streets
Streets follow the shape of the ridge, curving and doubling back along the slopes, so the town's plan closely reflects the terrain beneath it.
Descending hill roads
Roads leave the town in long bends toward the plains and neighbouring valleys. Their winding paths create graceful lines at the edges of the map.
