The fort hill
A bare, steep hill stands beside the town and shapes its whole layout. On the poster its contour interrupts the street pattern and gives the map a clear focal point.

Nargund Map Poster & Print
From above, Nargund shows a pattern older than its roads. A single rocky hill rises on the edge of town, and the lanes below gather close to it, as if the settlement still expects to need its shelter. Beyond the last houses the street network loosens into field tracks crossing the flat black-soil plains of northern Karnataka.
The hill once carried a fort, and Nargund is remembered in Indian history for the role its ruler played in the uprising of 1857. The town appears again in the record for the farmers' agitation of 1980 over water and irrigation, which began here. Both episodes connect a small place to wider regional stories without changing how quietly it sits on the map.
A Nargund map poster turns this into a clear graphic. The dense core near the hill reads as a dark cluster, the main roads leave it like spokes, and the open plain gives the composition generous white space. It suits anyone who knows the town or has roots in the Gadag district.

Tight old core
Close to the hill, narrow lanes pack tightly together. From above they form a dense, irregular texture that contrasts sharply with the straighter roads further out.
Open black-soil plain
Around the town, farmland stretches flat and wide, crossed by thin tracks. On a black and white print this becomes calm negative space around the settlement.

Pourquoi Nargund
Une carte qui a du sens
People hang Nargund for family reasons more often than for tourism: a grandparent's house, a school, a place left behind for a city job. A map keeps the exact shape of home in view without needing a photograph.
You can set your own title and subtitle, adjust the coordinates line, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9 and include six print sizes, or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
