Foot of the Nimba range
The town sits below the Nimba mountains, and the streets bend to follow the slopes. The terrain gives the street pattern its uneven, contour-following character.

La carte
New Yekepa Map Poster & Print
New Yekepa is in Nimba County, in northern Liberia, close to the Nimba mountains where Liberia meets Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire. The Yekepa area grew around iron-ore mining in the Nimba range. A railway carries ore from here to the port of Buchanan on the coast, and the area's history is closely tied to that line.
The map shows a town shaped by terrain. Streets follow the lower slopes instead of forming a strict grid, and the built area gives way to dense forest on the higher ground. Mining roads, the rail corridor and open cleared areas add strong, deliberate lines to a landscape that is otherwise green and irregular.
A New Yekepa map poster contrasts the organised shapes of an industrial town with the unplanned edges of the forest around it. For anyone who lived or worked here, it records a very particular place: a settlement in the shadow of the mountains, linked to the Atlantic by a long railway.

Ore railway corridor
The railway from the mining area to the port of Buchanan is a long, steady line in a landscape where most other shapes are curved and irregular.
Forest edge
Beyond the last streets, dense forest covers the hills. On the poster this shows as open space that frames the town and emphasises how compact it is.

Pourquoi New Yekepa
Une carte qui a du sens
Mining towns build strong loyalties, and people often move on with a lasting attachment to them. This map is a clear, dignified reminder of Yekepa's hills, streets and railway, suitable for a home or an office.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates line of your own, for example the years you lived there. Pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir works well with the dark forest setting.
