Garden plots
Household plots with orchards and gardens fill much of the town, creating a fine mosaic of small rectangles between the streets.

Nookat Map Poster & Print
Nookat is a town in the Osh Region of southern Kyrgyzstan and the administrative centre of the district of the same name. It lies on the southern rim of the Fergana Valley, where the flat valley floor begins to rise toward the foothills of the Alay range. From above, the town is a mix of straight streets and enclosed household plots, many with gardens and fruit trees.
Irrigation channels thread through the town and the surrounding farmland, carrying water from mountain streams to fields and orchards. The result is a fine, green-edged pattern of plots that reads beautifully as linework. To the south the terrain becomes steeper and emptier, so on a wider map the settled area sits as a dense band below open, rising ground.
A Nookat map poster is a way for people from the district who now live elsewhere to keep home in sight, and a fine keepsake for travellers crossing southern Kyrgyzstan between Osh and the mountains. The simple monochrome style makes the dense garden plots and the rising foothills legible without clutter.

Irrigation network
Channels carrying water from the hills run through fields and neighbourhoods, adding thin lines that follow the slope of the land down toward the valley.
Alay foothills
South of town the ground rises toward the Alay range, and the settled area gives way to open, steeper terrain that frames the map from below.
