La carte
Northampton Map Poster & Print
Northampton lies in western Massachusetts, on the west side of the Connecticut River. Its map is organised around Main Street, which runs through a compact downtown where older streets branch off at irregular angles. To the east, the land flattens into the river's wide meadows, with the Mount Holyoke Range across the water.
Smith College occupies a large area next to downtown, its campus of buildings and green space reaching down to Paradise Pond on the Mill River. Calvin Coolidge practised law in Northampton and served as its mayor before becoming president, and the town has long been a regional centre for culture and education.
A Northampton map poster shows the town's New England structure clearly: the dense downtown, the campus opening beside it, the winding Mill River and the empty meadowland toward the Connecticut. Rail trails cut straight lines across the grid of residential streets. In monochrome it makes a detailed and well-balanced print.

Smith College and Paradise Pond
The Smith College campus spreads beside downtown, and the Mill River widens into Paradise Pond at its edge, a quiet open shape on the map.
Connecticut River meadows
East of the town, flat meadows stretch toward the Connecticut River, leaving a broad, sparse area between the streets and the water.
