Ottapalam Map Poster & Print
Ottapalam lies in the Palakkad district of central Kerala, on the banks of the Bharathapuzha, the state's second-longest river. The river dominates the map: a broad, braided band of water and sandbanks sweeping past the town. The town's roads and railway line run roughly parallel to it before branching inland.
The Bharathapuzha valley holds a special place in Kerala's culture. The poet Kunchan Nambiar was born in the area, and many classical art traditions developed along the river. More recently, the green, quiet landscape around Ottapalam has become a familiar setting in Malayalam cinema, with its riverbanks and old houses appearing in many films.
An Ottapalam map poster frames the town between the river and the low wooded hills behind it. The pattern of streets is loose and organic, with houses spread along roads in long lines and paddy fields filling the lower ground. It is a soft, flowing composition, with the wide river at its centre.

Railway line
The railway runs along the valley near the river, a clean, steady line that contrasts with the winding roads of the surrounding area.
Hills and paddy
Inland, low hills and paddy fields shape the roads, which curve and branch. Scattered houses line them, giving the outer map a gentle texture.
