Paudalho Map Poster & Print
Paudalho lies inland from Recife in the Zona da Mata of Pernambuco. For centuries this belt of green, rolling land was dominated by sugarcane. On the map the town sits in a river valley, and its streets gather along the Capibaribe before climbing the low hills around it.
The layout follows the terrain. A denser centre stands near the river, and roads branch out along the slopes to outlying neighbourhoods and plantation districts. Beyond the edge of town the pattern opens into farm tracks and the curving boundaries of cane fields, typical of the region.
A Paudalho map poster captures a town shaped by a river and by the agricultural landscape around it. In black and white the winding line of the Capibaribe and the irregular streets on the hillsides make an organic, flowing composition. It is quite different from the tidy grids of coastal cities, and it looks as unhurried as the countryside it comes from.

Hillside streets
Beyond the centre, streets climb and curve over the low hills, making an irregular, organic pattern instead of a grid.
Cane country edges
At the edges of the map, farm tracks and field boundaries of the Zona da Mata replace urban streets and open out the composition.
