Polder ditches
Straight drainage channels cut the surrounding land into long, even strips, a pattern that continues right into the residential streets of the town itself.

Pijnacker Map Poster & Print
Pijnacker lies in South Holland, in the green strip between Delft, Rotterdam and Zoetermeer, and together with Nootdorp forms a single municipality. The map is typical of the Dutch polder: straight ditches and drainage canals divide the land into long narrow strips, and the town's streets follow the same directions. The old village centre is small, and the larger residential areas built around it have their own neat patterns of water and green space.
Around the town, greenhouse complexes create large rectangles on the map, part of the horticultural landscape of the region. The RandstadRail light-rail line runs through Pijnacker and connects it with The Hague and Rotterdam. Beyond the housing, open polders and recreational areas give residents easy access to meadows, cycle paths and water just a short distance from some of the busiest cities in the Netherlands.
A Pijnacker map poster turns this landscape into a quiet geometric composition. The long parallel lines of the ditches, the rectangles of the greenhouses and the curves of the newer neighbourhoods fit together neatly. With water featuring so prominently, the map looks particularly good in Blueprint or Classic black and white, but it works in every style.

Greenhouse blocks
Large glasshouse complexes around the edges of town show up as broad rectangular shapes, adding solid geometric blocks to the fine lines of the polder.
Light-rail line
The RandstadRail line crosses the town on a straight course between The Hague and Rotterdam, forming a clear axis that links the neighbourhoods.

Pourquoi Pijnacker
Une carte qui a du sens
Pijnacker is home for many people who work in The Hague, Rotterdam or Delft but prefer a greener place to live. A map of it suits a new house, a first flat or a child's room, and it is a thoughtful gift when someone moves away from the area.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a street, an address or a date. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The flat polder landscape looks especially clean in the lighter options.
