Compact town core
The centre forms a small, dense block of streets, clearly separated from the open country around it, so the settlement reads as a single cluster on the page.

Pindobaçu Map Poster & Print
Pindobaçu sits in the north of Bahia, in a landscape of ridges and dry scrub typical of the sertão. From above, the town is a compact knot of streets set among the long shapes of the surrounding hills, with rural roads running out toward outlying settlements and the high ground that frames the municipality.
The municipality is best known for emeralds. The Carnaíba mining district, one of Brazil's historic sources of the stone, lies within its territory, and prospecting has shaped local life for generations. On a map this shows up less as a single landmark and more as scattered tracks and small clusters working their way into the slopes.
A Pindobaçu map poster reduces all of this to line and space: the tight urban centre, the spreading road network and the open ground between. In black and white the contrast between the settled core and the sparse hinterland becomes the main subject, a quiet portrait of a town defined by the land around it.

Ridges and slopes
Hills and ridgelines surround the town, and the roads bend to follow them, giving the map a looser, more organic pattern than a planned grid.
Emerald country
The Carnaíba emerald district lies within the municipality, and the tracks leading toward it are part of what gives this corner of Bahia its character.

Pourquoi Pindobaçu
Une carte qui a du sens
For people from Pindobaçu, or families with roots in the Bahian interior, the map is a reminder of a specific place rather than a generic view of Brazil. It suits a hallway or study where a quiet, graphic image works better than a photograph.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or a meaningful year. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
