Planalto Map Poster & Print
Planalto is a municipality in the southwest of Bahia, in the upland country of the state's interior, not far from Vitória da Conquista. Its name means plateau in Portuguese, which suits the elevated terrain of the region. The economy around it is mainly agricultural, and the landscape is made up of farms, pasture and patches of native vegetation.
On a map, the town appears as a compact cluster of streets, largely in a rectilinear pattern typical of towns in the Brazilian interior. There is a central area around the main square and church, with blocks extending outward. Beyond the urban edge, a few roads and rural tracks cross the open land towards neighbouring towns.
A Planalto map poster is for people with a personal connection: those born here, those whose families still live here, or those who moved to Salvador, São Paulo or further away. The black-and-white drawing reduces the town to what matters, a small, orderly street pattern in a wide landscape.

Regular blocks
Streets mostly follow a rectilinear layout, as is common in towns of Brazil's interior, which gives the map a calm, orderly texture.
Roads into the uplands
Country roads leave town across the elevated farmland of southwest Bahia. They form long lines that link Planalto to the wider region.

Pourquoi Planalto
Une carte qui a du sens
Many people from small towns in Bahia's interior live far from home, and a map of their town is a simple way to keep it close. It suits a living room, a bedroom or an office, and works well as a gift for parents or grandparents.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, in Portuguese or English, with a name or date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. You can buy the $9 digital files or order a printed poster on matte paper, with or without a wooden frame.
