Railway junction
Rail lines meet at Polohy and cross the town in long, sweeping curves and straights. They are the boldest element on the map and divide the built-up area into distinct parts.

Polohy Map Poster & Print
Polohy is a town in Zaporizhzhia Oblast in southeastern Ukraine and the administrative centre of the district that shares its name. It sits on the broad, gently rolling steppe that covers much of the region, where the land is mostly flat and farmed in large open fields. On a map that openness shapes everything: the town stands out clearly as a cluster of streets in a wide, lightly drawn landscape.
The railway explains much of Polohy's form. The town grew as a rail junction, and the tracks cut across the map as long, confident strokes that the streets have to work around. Residential blocks spread out to either side in a fairly regular pattern. Beyond them, private houses with garden plots give way to field boundaries and the straight roads that link the surrounding villages.
A Polohy map poster keeps that balance between order and space. Near the centre the lines are tight and rectilinear. Toward the edges they thin out into long, straight rural roads crossing the steppe. The result is spare and graphic, and it works especially well in monochrome, where the railway and the street grid carry the whole composition.

Regular residential blocks
Away from the tracks, the streets form a fairly even pattern of blocks lined with houses and gardens. This gives the town a steady, measured texture when seen from above.
Open steppe edges
At the town's edge the dense streets stop and wide, flat farmland begins, crossed by straight country roads. The contrast gives the poster clear borders and plenty of breathing room.
