Pratāpgarh Map Poster & Print
Pratāpgarh is a district town in the far south of Rajasthan, near the border with Madhya Pradesh, where the Aravalli hills meet the Malwa plateau. Unlike the desert cities of the state's west, it is surrounded by greener, rolling country. From above, a dense old centre of narrow, winding lanes is ringed by newer, more regular neighbourhoods and roads leading out across the hills.
The town is known across India for Thewa, a traditional craft in which fine gold work is fused onto coloured glass, practised here by a small number of families for generations. The district's wooded hills also hold the Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary, and seasonal streams cut across the farmland that surrounds the town.
A Pratāpgarh map poster contrasts the organic knot of the old town with the open, textured landscape around it. Hills, streams and field boundaries give the edges of the map a softer character, while the historic core remains the focal point, dense and intricate at the very centre of the sheet.

Roads over the hills
Main roads leave the town across rolling, wooded country toward Chittorgarh and Madhya Pradesh, drawing long curving lines through the landscape.
Streams and farmland
Seasonal watercourses and field boundaries fill the land around town, adding fine, irregular texture that gently frames the dense centre of Pratāpgarh.
