Numbered grid
Wide, straight streets numbered outward from Center Street and University Avenue form a strict grid. It is typical of Utah cities and especially clear at larger print sizes.

Provo Map Poster & Print
Provo lies in Utah Valley, on the flat land between the steep western face of the Wasatch Range and the broad expanse of Utah Lake. Like many Utah towns, it is laid out as a grid of wide, numbered streets counted from a central point. Center Street and University Avenue form the main axes. On a map the regularity is striking, and the mountains frame it on the east.
Brigham Young University occupies higher ground in the northeast of the city. On the mountainside above it, a large white block Y is visible from much of the valley. The Provo River comes down through Provo Canyon, crosses the city in a winding green corridor and runs out to the lake. It adds one organic line to an otherwise geometric plan.
West of the centre the grid loosens into farmland, marsh and the shore of Utah Lake, one of the largest freshwater lakes in the western United States. A Provo map poster brings together the three layers of the city: lake, grid and mountains. The result feels balanced and calm.

BYU and the Y
The university campus sits on the bench to the northeast, below the hillside Y, and forms a large, distinctive shape at the edge of the city.
Utah Lake shore
To the west, the grid gives way to open land and the lake's broad, irregular shoreline, which adds a large area of calm water to the frame.

Pourquoi Provo
Une carte qui a du sens
Many people spent their student years in Provo, met a spouse there or started a family, which makes its map especially personal. The grid, the lake and the mountains are recognisable at a glance.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a graduation year or a wedding date, and choose from five styles. Blueprint suits the grid, while Classic black & white or Noir give the mountains a strong presence.
