Dense town core
The oldest part of town is a tight cluster of narrow lanes, and it prints as the darkest, most detailed area on the poster.

Pūnāhāna Map Poster & Print
Pūnāhāna sits in Nuh district in southern Haryana, part of the region long known as Mewat, close to the border with Rajasthan. From above, the town reads as a dense knot of lanes surrounded by open farmland. Roads leave it in several directions, and the edge of the built area dissolves into field boundaries and scattered village clusters.
The street pattern is not a planned grid. The older core packs lanes tightly together, and newer growth stretches out along the main roads in thinner lines. Rendered in black and white, that difference in density is the main thing the eye picks up: a heavy, busy centre and lighter strands of building pulled outward into the surrounding plain.
A Pūnāhāna map poster works best as a record of a town at human scale, where the whole settlement fits comfortably on the sheet and its connection to the countryside stays visible. At larger print sizes, individual lanes in the core separate out clearly, while at smaller sizes the town reads as one compact shape set against a quiet background of fields.

Around the town the land is flat and cultivated. It shows up as a calm field of light space with small village clusters scattered through it.

Pourquoi Pūnāhāna
Une carte qui a du sens
People who grew up in Pūnāhāna, or whose families came from Mewat, often want something that shows the town as it really is: small, close-knit and rooted in the land around it. A map does that plainly, without the need for a photograph.
You can add a family name, a date or the town's coordinates to the title line, and choose from five styles. Classic black and white and Paper stay close to a printed atlas, while Sand gives the plain a warmer tone.
