Pūranpur Map Poster & Print
Pūranpur lies in Pilibhit district in northern Uttar Pradesh, on the flat Terai plain along the foot of the Himalaya. The town grew as a market and administrative centre for the surrounding farmland. Its map shows a busy core of lanes around the bazaar and the railway, with roads leading out to villages in every direction.
Sugarcane dominates the countryside, and the fields reach right up to the edge of town. The forests of the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve lie nearby, and the Sharda River and its channels wind across the plain. A Pūranpur map poster contrasts the dense town centre with the wide, open pattern of fields, forest edges and water.
The Terai is low and well watered, so streams, canals and ponds appear across the map, many following the gentle southward slope of the land. Seen from above, the town is a small cluster of lines in a large, green landscape, and the poster gives that landscape plenty of room.
