Qahderījān Map Poster & Print
Qahderījān is in Isfahan Province in central Iran, west of the city of Isfahan, in the farmland watered by the Zayandeh Rud. This river is the lifeline of the region. From above, the town is a dense cluster of streets and walled plots, surrounded by fields and orchards divided by irrigation channels.
The pattern around the town is typical of the irrigated oases of the Iranian plateau. Long narrow fields run between water channels, orchards form green blocks, and roads link a close network of towns and villages. Older lanes in the centre are narrow and winding, while newer streets are straighter and wider.
A Qahderījān map poster shows the close relationship between settlement and water in central Iran. The farmland around the town creates a detailed, finely divided texture, and the town itself forms the densest part of the sheet. It is a meaningful choice for people from the Isfahan countryside.

Irrigation channels
Water channels divide the fields into long narrow parcels. On the map their lines run through the farmland in parallel and branching patterns.
Winding older lanes
Near the centre, streets are narrow and curved, with walled plots between them. Newer areas around the edges have a straighter, more regular layout.
