La carte
Qianliu Map Poster & Print
Qianliu is a small town in southern Yunnan Province, in southwestern China, in the subtropical uplands of the Pu'er region. The terrain is mountainous, and from above the settlement appears as a compact cluster of streets on the limited flat ground. Roads wind along the contours to connect it with surrounding villages and valleys.
This part of Yunnan is known for forested mountains and for tea, with terraced plantations cut into hillsides across the Pu'er region. Settlements here follow the land closely, and even small towns show how roads, fields and houses are fitted into narrow strips of gentler ground between the slopes.
A Qianliu map poster is an image of a mountain place. The winding roads, the small street pattern and the wide open spaces of the hills create a light, airy composition. It means most to people with family roots in the area, or to travellers who have passed through this corner of Yunnan.

Compact town centre
Buildings and streets gather in a small area of flatter ground, creating a dense core that stands out against the open landscape around it.
Hillside terraces
Across the Pu'er region, fields and tea gardens are terraced into the slopes. In a wider framing, their contours add fine, repeating curves around the settlement.
