La carte
Radcliff Map Poster & Print
Radcliff lies in Hardin County, Kentucky, along US 31W, the old Dixie Highway between Louisville and Elizabethtown. The town grew up alongside the Fort Knox Army post, which borders it to the north. A map shows that relationship clearly: a commercial strip along the highway, with residential subdivisions spreading out on either side.
Many residents have ties to the Army, and the town's population has long risen and fallen with the post. Radcliff is home to the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. The gold vault at Fort Knox, one of the best-known buildings in the country, stands a short distance away on the base.
A Radcliff map poster reads as a portrait of a modern American town: a strong highway spine, cul-de-sacs and curving suburban streets, and the large open expanse of the post along one edge. That pale military land gives the composition a striking balance between dense lines and empty ground.

Suburban streets
Curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs spread out from the highway, giving the map the looping, branching pattern typical of postwar American growth.
Fort Knox boundary
The military reservation borders the town and shows as a wide area of open land and sparse roads, in sharp contrast with the neighbourhoods beside it.

Pourquoi Radcliff
Une carte qui a du sens
Radcliff is home, at least for a while, to many military families, and a map of the town is a way to mark a posting that mattered. It also makes a thoughtful farewell gift for someone leaving Fort Knox.
