Market town core
The centre is a tight cluster of streets and shops around the market. On the poster it is the densest area and the natural focal point.

Rāman Map Poster & Print
Rāman, also known as Rama Mandi, is a town in Bathinda district in the Malwa region of Punjab. The land here is almost perfectly flat, and from above the town is a compact cluster of streets set in a vast, orderly patchwork of fields. Straight farm roads and irrigation channels divide the countryside into rectangles that continue to the edge of the frame.
As its alternative name suggests, Rāman grew as a mandi, a market town serving the surrounding agricultural villages. The Malwa plain is one of India's most productive farming regions, and the canal network that makes this possible is clearly visible on the map. In recent decades, large-scale industry has also arrived in the wider area around the town.
A Rāman map poster is a study in geometry. The dense, irregular core of the market town sits at the centre, and the ruled lines of canals and field roads spread out around it. The contrast between the organic town and the regular countryside gives the print a strong, graphic character.

Canals and channels
Irrigation canals cross the plain in long, straight lines. They are among the most distinctive features of the Malwa landscape and bring strong structure to the map.
Field patchwork
Farm roads and field boundaries divide the land into regular rectangles. Their repeating pattern gives the outer parts of the poster a calm, textile-like texture.
